About Me

Head shot (Dorothy Nesbit, Alice's book lauch)

I came to the Alexander Technique because I was looking for a way to resolve recurring back trouble. After about 18 months of individual lessons I joined the training school at LCATT and I now hold a qualification from the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique.

I have a degree in Antenatal Education and trained as an antenatal teacher with NCT (the National Childbirth Trust). I have completed the Eutokia training with Ilana Machover and can offer individual lessons or groups classes in the Alexander Technique for pregnancy, childbirth and early parenting.

I am a recreational runner and passionate open (and cold) water swimmer and I have found many ways to apply the Technique to my participation in these sports as well as to everyday life. I have completed the Art of Running training with Malcolm Balk and am happy to offer lessons that focus on the application of the principles of the Alexander Technique to running.

I have also worked as a lawyer in the City of London and completed the introductory certificate as an Iyengar Yoga teacher.

I live in Islington with my husband. I have three adult children who are very much at the “boomerang” stage of their lives so the number who live with us is variable.
